Harry Potter Prophecy Orb and stand DIY

So this is a two part post first is the stand and the second the orb. Lets get started with the Materials needed for both parts.

Materials for the Stand:

Label : in black {S.P.T. to A.P.W.B.D Dark Lord and (?)} In red{ [Harry Potter]}

Black and red sharpie marker, Basswood, Metle ruller, two clamp's, exacto blad, welbond, cutting mat, black acrylic paint, paint brush, reference photo, wire, wire cutter, white sculpt oven bake clay, small cookie oven back sheet, alumam foil, hot glue gun and glue sticks.

Materials for the Orb:

Plastic snow glob, Glitter, cotton, food coloring teal, H2O,Gold spray paint, and I added water safe LED color changing tea light with remote.

Most I already had on hand the the items I did not was the snow globe was $7 suk #10601574, Basswood $3.49 sku#10015118 from Michaels.

The stand:

once I got the basswood cut then glued I painted with one layer of the Black acrylic paint then I wrote info on the label and applied to the stand.

now the second part of the stand is the snake head and body, there is four but i only have room for two. I did thin layers at a time with the white Sculpt oven bake clay. preheat the oven to 275 degrees F. Bake for 15 minutes per quarter inch of thickness. For example, a piece of 1/2" thickness should be cured for 30 minutes. Then let cool it will be very hot.

Once this is done un-screw the bottom base cover from the snow glob. Use the Gold spry paint to color the bottom base cover and the two snake gold. Once the gold paint is dry place the glob on the stand so you know where to glue the snake on to the base you just made. Place the finished label on to the stand.
