The flight out was nice I got to work on the iMovie for the last DIY I did. {Have to say that program is limited and it's really starting to annoy me. time to start looking for new video editing program. Any thoughts on that??}
The hotel is walking distance from the River Walk. So we decided to go to our favorite restaurant from way back to our military days. Boudro's is a bistro... My all time favorite it the table side guacamole they make at your table. It is amazing good. I would get for appetizer, and dinner if hubby would let me. heheh. I personally love the river walk at night. Off to bed so we get full day of fun.

Unlike a lot of my post I am not going to try to write down the History of what happen at The Alamo. I found a clip from the wild west history on youtube. Hope you take the time to watch this, It is worth it stuff I did not learn in school's history class. At The Alamo there is amazing video from the history channel wish I could find that one.
The Alamo we sign up for a guided tour. Had time till our guided so we went in and walked around.

Because it was labor's day weekend The Alamo was supper busy.
Little side note It is free to get in but you have to wait in a line. If you get a tour you don't have to wait in the line and you get more info on The Alamo then just walking around. They had reanactments going on.
wow this tree is amazing
Statue outside The Alamo is the Alamo Cenotaph, also known as the Spirit of Sacrifice, is a monument commemorating the Battle of the Alamo of the Texas Revolution, which was fought at the Alamo Mission.
The shaft rises sixty feet from its base which is forty feet long and twelve feet wide. The monument was erected in grey Georgia marble and pink Texas granite. It was entitled The Spirit of Sacrifice and incorporates images of the Alamo garrison leaders and 187 names of known Alamo defenders.
On the 6 photo you can see where the cannon ball hit will you can see a lot but this one stands out to me more than the other ones.
How The Alamo change over they years.
The Letter:
Commandancy of the The Alamo
Bejar, Feby. 24th. 1836
To the People of Texas & All Americans in the World-
Fellow Citizens & compatriots-
I am besieged, by a thousand or more of the Mexicans under Santa Anna - I have sustained a continual Bombardment & cannonade for 24 hours & have not lost a man - The enemy has demanded a surrender at discretion, otherwise, the garrison are to be put to the sword, if the fort is taken - I have answered the demand with a cannon shot, & our flag still waves proudly from the walls - I shall never surrender or retreat. Then, I call on you in the name of Liberty, of patriotism & everything dear to the American character, to come to our aid, with all dispatch - The enemy is receiving reinforcements daily & will no doubt increase to three or four thousand in four or five days. If this call is neglected, I am determined to sustain myself as long as possible & die like a soldier who never forgets what is due to his own honor & that of his country - Victory or Death.
William Barret Travis.
Lt. Col.comdt.
P. S. The Lord is on our side - When the enemy appeared in sight we had not three bushels of corn - We have since found in deserted houses 80 or 90 bushels and got into the walls 20 or 30 head of Beeves.
Travis
After the visit at The Alamo we walked around went and saw Guinness Wold Records Museum, Phillips Enertainment , Ripley's Haunted Adventure, and then some shopping.
