Annapolis Navy vs. Air force gameOct 7/ Washington DC Oct8 2017

Away game Navy vs. Air force

So the trip started in Atlanta Ga for work training for my husband I went a long and got to spend the day with a good friend of my family. When all was done I meet up at the air port when hubby was done. By the time we got to our hotle in DC it was time for bed.

Oct 7 Game Day,

So If you can't tell we route for the USAFA (united states air force accademy) This game is my first away game. It is also my husband's cousin second year at Annapolis. We are vary proud of the young man he has become.

Cousin's Squadron

On the left side of the American Flag on the 40 yard line is My hubby cousin's squadron.

Game day was sunny and vary warm. I have notice a lot of the same traditions with USAFA and Navy. USAFA brought Aurora and two other falcons but they did not fly. First half navy was wining but the second half air force came back strong. USAFA made them sweat. But in the last couple moments Navy got a touch down and fild kick winning the game. At the end of the game we got to see my hubby's cousin before we had to go the hotle.

Our Pre-game rally for USAFA

Our National Anthem- I tried really had not to ruin with my bad singing but I could not help my self so sorry you have to hear me.

So they call this prisoner exchange why they call it that is beyond me its for cadet or midshipmen depending what service academy your at you can do a semester at the other service academy. At games you can be with your Academy to enjoy the game then at the end you go back to your host academy.

They navy and Air Force marching band pro-forming together.

Another touch down for USAFA. When we have a touchdown the freshman run down on to the side lines and they do push up to the amount of the points we get. Then they run back up.

So much later we are home watching showtime and saw a show that was following Navy football and thought ok lets watch this because we where at that game and we see this.... I was all omg no way that is to cool. So I had to film it.

Oct 8, This is my first trip to this state on our way to the Holocaust memorial Museum we saw

George Washinton Monument or was it after either way wow thats high.

United States Holocaust Memorial Museum

100 Raoul Wallenbery PI SW, Washington, DC 20024

We went on Sunday did not pay for admission and tickets www.ushmm.org

The Holocaust Memorial Museum was our first stop. This was ma very emotional and eye opening. Our history books in school do not come close to telling what lead to durning or after. It was jam packed we spent half a day here. I did not get photos it was jam-packed yes I know I just stated that but felt like saying it once would not get the point across how busy it was.

National Museum of Natural History

10th St. & Constitution Ave. NW, Washington,DC 20560

Our second stop was the National Museum of Natural History. You could spend all day here also but we had to go throw it faster then I would like. We will be going back to see more. As you can see I got stuck in the gem stone area.... we where here until it closed. Need to come back someday.

Walking around before dinner. For all the Museum closed.

For dinner we eat at:

Founding Farmers

1924 Pennsylvania Ave NW,

Washington, DC 20006

202-822-8783

With no reservations we got a seat pretty fast, when we go back I'll be going back.

After that amazing yum yum dinner we had ourself a stroll around ... So lets start walking

First stop is the White House wish we could have gone on the tour but way way to late to do that and thats ok we will have to come back.

I was so proud and honor to see this building it looks so graceful and elegant. Britain has its Windsor palace we have out White House the house of the people of America.

next is The Blair House is now the guest house for the white house

Then directly across is the Executive Office Building love the details and grace in this building

Off to go see Abraham Lincoln Monument

~America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves. - Abraham Lincoln

  • These two web pages are a must to look at.

  • I made the link for both work lots of info I never know from school.

~Vietnam Veterans Memorial~

The last two photos i did not take The one with the men is called Reflections by Lee Teter and the last one it was way way to dark could not go on to the other side but the words are true. This is also called The Wall That Heals.. Because wounds on the inside take longer to heal.

~Korean War Veterans Memorial~

We still have men that are MIA/POW the pain the family not know at all. The Korean war 1950-53 so to put it in terms 29 years later I was born. If you take 1950- 2018 = 68 years ago and we are just know starting to get our service members back. I cry for the bitter sweet joy it will be to the family's that had no place to grieve and mourn. So far we have received 55 service members remains hope they keep sending our heros back home.

Thank you hope you enjoyed good night.

So this was a carry on only trip sorry no photo or packing list.
